been sick this past week so i never went to school this friday or last. the college is really really... ugh. their rules are pretty stupid. i attend a three hour psychology class on fridays from 9am to 12pm and the rules regarding absences are, "miss two days of class aka six hours over the course of the semester (sep - dec) and fail, even if excused/sick." so i can't be absent because i'm super sick? really, really? even if i'm dying with n1h1? i want to drop this god damned class, i don't care if i don't get any money back. either way i'm NOT passing psych, passing is a 40 or over and i'm pretty sure i flunked my first test. yes, that's how hard they are. studied to find completely different crap on the tests. 50 questions is too overwhelming for people, and high schools in the US definitely don't prepare you for college at all. and she ever-so-kindly decided to count this first test as our midterm grade and didn't tell us until afterwards. thank you, mrs. very kind professor. not saying the professors should sugarcoat everything freshman year, but don't treat us as if we'd been in college for years already.

i used to think when i was in high school that college would be so awesome because of the fact that you're responsible for yourself and they can't talk to your parents about anything you're doing. but boy have i changed my mind... it's impossible to even drop or change classes here without going to over 9,000 different offices around campus back and forth until you have everyone's permission. i miss high school, i miss my guidance counselor who wouldn't shove you to a thousand different places and would simply ask you few questions about why you're dropping or changing classes.
